Celebrating Birthdays

Senate Bill 42 directs local school districts to provide classroom time for parents who wish to recognize their child’s birthday at school. Each district is asked to determine its own procedure for how and when to allow for the birthday recognition so that valuable instruction time is minimally impacted.

Our policy is that on a child's birthday, he/she will receive a special coupon for a free treat from the LWE cafeteria.  The student may enjoy this treat at lunchtime!
