About the Librarian

Brekka Larrew

Mrs. Larrew loves books.

She loves doing VOICES while she reads.

She loves TEACHING.

But most especially, Mrs. Larrew loves KIDS!

She started teaching middle school in 1995 in Houston, Texas. She moved "down" to elementary school after four years. In 2008, she moved to Austin and began teaching at Lakeway Elementary. Then, in 2014, she made the switch from the classroom to the library. (She must admit that she got the idea from her little sister, who is the librarian at Serene Hills Elementary.)

Mrs. Larrew has a son (Ryan) and a daughter (Laurel) and three dogs (Sadie and Luna and Yoshi) and a husband (Mr. Larrew). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, cooking, baking, playing games, daydreaming, watching movies, and hanging out with her family.
